Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
Condenser Replacement
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio and the navigation system, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Recover the refrigerant with a recovery/recycling/charging station.
4. Remove the front bulkhead cover.
5. Remove the bolts and the radiator upper mount brackets.
6. Remove the bolts, then disconnect the discharge line (A) and condenser line (B) from the condenser. Plug or cap the lines immediately after
disconnecting them to avoid moisture and dust contamination.
7. Remove the bolts and the condenser upper brackets (A), then remove the condenser (B) by lifting it up. Be careful not to damage the radiator or
the condenser fins when removing the condenser.
