RECALL: Airbag Module
PROBLEM
Honda Motor Co. Ltd. has determined, based on advice from TRW, its airbag module manufacturer, that certain airbag modules are defective and the
initiator housing may separate from the adaptor during deployment. If this occurs, the airbag will not inflate properly during a crash, increasing the risk
of injury. In addition, the escaping hot gases could cause burns.
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
All owners of affected cars will be notified of this recall by mail and to the extent possible by phone. Owners will be asked to contact their nearest Acura
dealer for replacement of the airbag module.
