Installing

install drive plate along with disc 2 and shim 1 (two shim thicknesses available)

disc 2, Part No. 035 105 303A

^

shim 1, Part No. 054 105 301 (3.0 mm)

^

shim 1, Part No. 054 105 303 (4.0 mm)

CAUTION

Part numbers are for reference only. Always check with your Parts Department for latest information.

^

tighten drive plate, only to 30 Nm (22 ft lb), before checking/adjusting

CHECKING/ADJUSTING

^

check dimension (a) at three sites along circumference, and calculate average value

Vehicles with 097 transmission

^

dimension (a) range = 21.3 - 22.9 mm

Vehicles with 087, 01F, or 01K transmissions

^

dimension (a) range = 18.1 - 19.7 mm

If NO

^

remove drive plate

^

install sufficient shim thickness to arrive at dimension a

^

select shim from specified part numbers

After checking/adjusting
