Condition:

To optimize aerodynamic characteristics the gap between windshield/rear window and body has been reduced. This makes application of
masking tape more difficult should the roof require repainting.

Service:

Recommended Procedure

Insert a plastic wedge or a similar tool between the sealing lip (A) and body (B).

Press sealing lip back and apply adhesive/masking tape (C). Using tape, hold the sealing lip as close to glass as possible.

-

Protect glass as usual.

-

It is not necessary to remove windshield/rear window glass.

Note:

Should the sealing lip not return to its normal shape after the tape is removed warm it using a heat gun.
