These shims are available
-
Remove universal measuring bar.

Remove pinion and re-install with selected shim, spacer sleeve and seal. Refer to "Overview" at Pinion, Removing and Installing. See: Service and
Repair
-
Install flange again, tighten hex nut until specified torque is obtained.
WARNING!
-
Slowly increase tightening torque and read friction torque value several times when doing so.
-
If the specified friction torque is exceeded, the spacer sleeve must be replaced and the adjustment repeated!
-
A sleeve that has been compressed cannot be reused.
These friction torques should be set
Checking Measurements
-
Check dimension R.
-
Rotate pinion several times in both directions.
-
Install measuring bar and carry out check measurement.
If shims have been correctly selected, the dial indicator, reading counter-clockwise (red gauge scale), should indicate the inscribed value of deviation r
within a tolerance of ± 0.04 mm.
