Set range calibration ONLY after replacing the board computer (printed circuit).
Note
The board computer calculates fuel consumption based on 10 I/100 km regardless if the computer display is in US or metric measurement units.

switch ignition OFF
^
remove connector (arrow) from fuel gauge sending unit
^
using jumper wires, connect test unit VW 1301 to fuel gauge sending unit connector as shown
^
set test unit VW 1301 to 250
^
press and hold RESET button
^
switch ignition ON
