Condition

MIL is ON, DTC 00522 or P0116 stored, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62, incorrect signal. Temperature Sensor meets specifications, wiring
and connections to sensor are OK.

Service

Condition may be caused by the engine running too cold due to an incorrectly operating coolant thermostat.

If a vehicle exhibits this condition:

Check operation of coolant thermostat.

Replace the coolant thermostat (see Repair Manual) if necessary with a NEW stainless steel thermostat: Part No. 078 121 113F
