^

puller arms must be placed at the rear of the cam sprocket.

-

loosen and remove toothed V-belt.

Installing
-

mount toothed belt over both camshaft sprockets.
^

ensure that belt direction is properly oriented

-

install camshaft holder 3243.

-

position toothed V-belt on all sprockets
(over tension roller last).

Note:
The camshaft sprockets must be loose enough to allow rotation on the camshaft but not so loose as to tilt.

-

adjust belt tensioner tightness with socket wrench so tensioner can still be moved slightly by hand.

-

turn belt tensioner to the right using hex wrench and hold in position.

-

tighten belt tensioner bolt
^

45 N-m (33 ft.lb.)

-

check belt tension between right camshaft gear and coolant pump.

-

twist belt between camshaft gear and coolant pump by grasping between thumb and index finger.
^

must be able to turn approx. 90~

-

tighten sprocket bolts.

If NO

-

recheck tension by turning engine over one complete turn, re-adjust as necessary.
