Drive/Propeller Shaft: Adjustments
Automatic Transmission 01F
NOTE: The adjustment operation should be carried out with the greatest care, as mis-adjusted driveshaft is frequently the cause of vibration and
droning noises.
REMOVAL
-
Remove front crossmember (arrow) below exhaust system.
-
Remove complete exhaust system.
-
Remove heat shield.
-
Remove crossmember below driveshaft.
PREPARATION
-
Loosen center bearing mounting bolts.
-
Attach 3298 alignment fixture and tighten plastic nuts.
-
Remove center bearing mounting bolts and shims.
ADJUSTMENT
