Steering Damper Assembly

1. 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
2. Steering damper

Can be replaced with steering gear installed
Checking: remove bolt 1 and move piston rod through total stroke, rod must move evenly without jerking (compare with new damper held in same
position)
If functioning properly, slight traces of hydraulic oil are acceptable

3. Spacer bushing
4. 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
5. Spacer bushing

WARNING:  Do not re-use any fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use. Many fasteners are designed to be used only once and
become unreliable and may fail when used a second time. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, bolts, washers, self-locking nuts or
bolts, circlips and cotter pins. Always replace these fasteners with new parts.
