Power Steering Bleeding: Service and Repair

Work sequence
-
take load off front axle
-
run engine
-
watch hydraulic fluid level in reservoir until it drops and holds constant level
-
turn steering wheel (lock to lock) several times quickly
NOTE: Do not use more force on steering wheel than necessary to turn steering wheel
-
add more hydraulic fluid if fluid level continues to drop below "MAX" marking
-
make sure no bubbles appear in reservoir when steering wheel is turned
