Brake Master Cylinder: Service and Repair

CAUTION:

-

Before working on brake system, relieve system pressure by firmly depressing brake pedal approximately 20 times.

Do not press brake pedal with brake master cylinder removed.

1. Disconnect brake lines from master cylinder.
2. Remove master cylinder to booster, or master cylinder to servo attaching bolts.
3. Remove master cylinder making sure not to remove servo push rod.
4. Reverse procedure to install, then bleed system.

NOTE:  

-

Master cylinders and brake boosters from different manufacturers are interchangeable.
