Oil Pan: Service and Repair
1.
Remove oil pan drain plug and drain oil.
2.
Support engine using tool 10-222 or equivalent.
3.
Remove cover plate from under engine.
4.
Remove four bolts from subframe, then lower subframe.
5.
Remove oil pan.
6.
Reverse procedure to install, torquing oil pan attaching bolts to 7 ft.lbs. on 1984-87 models and 15 ft.lbs. on 1988 80/90 models and the drain plug
to 22 ft.lbs.
