Knock Sensor Warning Lamp: Description and Operation

    The warning lamp will be illuminated when the ignition switch is placed in the On position. After the engine is started, the lamp should go off. If the
lamp remains on during engine operation, either a knock condition is present or a problem in the ignition system exist. If a knock condition is present, the
lamp will go off when engine RPM is reduced. When a knock condition is indicated, ensure fuel has an anti-knock index of at least 87 octane. If fuel is
satisfactory and lamp remains on constantly, the ignition system should be checked.
