Suspension Strut / Shock Absorber: Service and Repair

Do not remove both strut units at the same time. Replace one side, then the other.
1.
Loosen trunk sheet metal trim, then remove cap and retaining nut from upper strut unit attachment.
2.
Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove strut unit lower attachment retaining bolt and remove strut unit, Fig. 1.
