Fuel Filter: Service and Repair
Flushing the Fuel System

1.

Drain the fuel system and remove the fuel tank from the vehicle.  Rinse the tank out with a suitable cleaning agent to remove any foreign matter
present.

2.

Disconnect the fuel lines at convenient locations and pump cleaning fluid through the lines to remove foreign matter.

3.

Replace the fuel filter.  Reconnect the fuel lines and reinstall the fuel tank.

4.

Filter the fuel removed from the tank before returning it to the fuel tank.  Bleed the fuel system.
