Rear Brake Spring And Roller

b. Insert screwdriver between end of rear spring and the roller.
c. Apply brake pedal using equal force approximately 40 times with the vehicle stationary.

NOTE:  

On 1988 vehicles with 38 mm rear calipers, the brake pedal should be applied only ONCE instead of 40 times.

d. Remove screwdriver.

7. Apply parking brake then release.
8. Ensure both wheels turn freely.
9. Lubricate equalizer with multi-purpose grease.

10. Check ease of parking brake operation.

NOTE:  

Since rear brakes are self-adjusting, parking brake adjustment is usually only required after replacing parking brake cables, rear calipers or cable
adjusting rod.
