Front hookup - Sedan/Wagon

-

attach tow chains to outboard ends of subframe

-

place 4 x 4 with spacer blocks under stabilizer bar/frame mounts

-

place tow bar against 4 x 4

-

attach safety chains to control arms

-

if car is towed by tow bar, chain, cable or rope, be sure shift lever is in neutral or automatic transmission selector lever in position "N"

-

do not tow car with automatic transmission faster than 30 mph (50 kmh) or farther than 30 miles (50 kilometers)

-

exceeding these limits will damage automatic transmission due to lack of lubrication

Rear hookup - Sedan

Caution

Unless wheel-lifting towing gear is used, rear hookup for Sedan only. If rear hookup is used to tow any automatic transmission vehicles, use front wheel
dolly.

attach J-hooks to rear axle inboard of shock absorbers

-

place tow bar between rear of fuel tank and rear apron

-

adjust sling slightly to right to clear tailpipe

-

attach safety chains to rear axle

Rear hookup - Wagon

Rear hookup of Fox Wagon requires wheel-lifting towing equipment.
