Free play between pedal and booster.
B.
Air pocket in brake booster. No defect, design related.
Production Change:

Modified clevis P/N 431 721 991 A

Service Solution:
A.
No Change. Do not adjust push rod!
B.
1. Depress brake pedal approximately 20 times with engine turned off.
2.
Press down hard on pedal and keep pedal depressed.
3.
Start engine, keeping pedal depressed until pressure has built up (approximately 30 seconds).
4.
Quickly release pedal ("pop" pedal).
5.
Repeat. If noise persists, replace booster, P/N 443 612 099, with P/N 443 612 099B.
