drill out eight bearing cap plate retaining rivets (arrows)
^
remove bearing cap plate
^
remove front fan bearing
^
install replacement bearing, Part No. 443 903 221
^
reinstall bearing cap plate to bearing cover with pop-rivets
^
remove armature with commutator from motor housing
^ place on clean work area
^ DO NOT allow oil or grease to get onto armature
^
turn over motor housing
^
open rear bearing cover retaining tabs, as shown
^
remove terminal retaining nuts and insulators (arrows)
CAUTION
DO NOT damage commutator brush plate insulator when removing/installing rear bearing cover.
^
remove rear bearing cover
^ it may be necessary to pry off with small screwdriver
