Throttle Full Open Switch: Testing and Inspection

Idle and full throttle switches, checking

Work sequence

-

Unplug connector for idle and full throttle switches at throttle body

Voltage supply, checking

-

Connect voltmeter between terminal 2 of connector C and ground

-

Switch ON ignition

Specification: approx 12 V

-

Switch OFF ignition

If NOT OK

-

Check for open circuit in wiring and repair as necessary, see 

current flow diagram

Idle switch, checking

-

Connect ohmmeter between terminals 1 and 2
^

Specification: approx. 0 ohm
