Engine - Will Not Start, Poor Performance

Cause:

Excessive resistance in ignition wire connectors may cause connections to overheat and decay distributor cap. only terminals
supplied by vendor "Beru" effected.

A. Improved wire connectors introduced (SOP M.Y. 1989)

Improved connectors from vendor Beru can be recognized by a "bump" on the rubber cover of the connector. (See illustration
below)
