Frequency Valve: Testing and Inspection
OXS Frequency valve, checking
Work sequence
Unplug electrical connector (arrow) from OXS frequency valve
Note: Oxygen sensor frequency valve is located in the passenger side front fender cavity.

Using LED test light US 1115, connect red test lead to terminal 1 and black lead to terminal 2 of open OXS frequency valve connector
-
Initiate output diagnosis sequence until code 4441 for OXS frequency valve is displayed

Specification: LED on US 1115 must be OFF
If light is OFF

Replace OXS frequency valve
If light is ON
-
Connect voltmeter between terminal 1 and ground

Specification: approx. 12 V
If voltage reading NOT OK
-
Check for open circuit in wiring according to current flow diagram
If voltage reading OK
-
Remove control unit cover, located in front passenger footwell
