Using jumper cable, connect terminal 2 of open shut-off valve connector to ground

Specification: 40% duty cycle

Note:  Duty cycle must read 40% regardless of engine rpm

If duty cycle reading NOT OK

Remove cover of control unit located in front passenger footwell

Unplug control unit connector

-

Using ohmmeter, check for continuity between terminal 2 of shut-off valve connector and terminal 4 of control unit connector A

Specification: 0.2 ohm 

If ohmmeter reading NOT OK

-

Check for open circuit in wiring according to current flow diagram

If wiring OK

-

Replace control unit
