Check for short circuit in wiring between control unit and air temperature sensor

If wiring OK

-

Replace control unit

-

Repeat test

Removing/installing

Work sequence

-

Push back cover on intake air temperature sensor (arrow)

-

Cut off wires at sensor

-

Remove sensor

-

Remove protective cover and install new sensor

-

Fit rubber insulator and protective cover over wiring

-

Fit terminal lugs on bared wires and solder to sensor contacts

-

Push rubber insulator over soldered joints

-

Push protective cover onto sensor
