drill hole A as shown (measurements in mm)

-

install clip and base plate with pop rivet

pull off foil from backing plate first

Roof trim molding, installing

Work sequence

-

remove remaining glue on body with 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner or equivalent

-

pull off foil from new molding

-

place molding in position at B, C and D-pillar area

-

press trim against roof in direction of arrow A

-

press trim strip in direction of arrow B

-

repeat procedure at A-pillar

-

install rivets at A-pillar area

Note

To ensure proper roof contour of molding, warm-up molding with hot air blower to approx. 40~C (104~F) and press into correct shape.

-

press new gap cover into caps

-

clean window glass and C-pillar with 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner or equivalent.
