disconnect battery ground strap

^

remove radiator cooling fan assembly w/motor

^

remove fan blade assembly

^

left hand threads (turn nut clockwise to loosen)

^

save lock washer and nut (arrows)

^

clamp fan motor in vise

^

clamp only at retaining bracket A

open front bearing cover retaining tabs (arrows) with small chisel or punch

^

carefully pry off bearing cover
