Average fuel consumption display, checking

switch ignition ON

-

select MPG

-

push reset button for 2 minutes (with vehicle running)

display: average fuel consumption

If average fuel consumption is displayed, - check range reading (Mi)

Note

If after pressing reset button a value of 200 is displayed, - repair broken ground wire (contact 3) of fuel consumption sensor OR
-

wires on fuel consumption sensor (contacts 1 and 3) are reversed

If average fuel consumption of 0-5 MPG is displayed, - repair wires from contacts 1 or 2 of fuel consumption sensor
