- pull caliper housing out (arrow) toward side of vehicle
- pull caliper housing toward rear of vehicle and remove
- remove brake pads

CAUTION: When re-using brake pads, mark pads to prevent changing inside to outside or from one caliper to another. Mixed pads can cause

uneven braking.

- press piston back into caliper housing

CAUTION: With this procedure brake fluid is pushed into reservoir. To prevent overflowing, siphon some fluid out with an appliance which is

used for this purpose only.

WARNING: Brake fluid is poisonous. Brake fluid will also damage paint. Do not siphon by mouth.

Installing

- insert brake pads into carrier
- mount brake caliper housing to carrier and tighten guide bolts to 25 Nm (18 ft lb)

Note:

The repair kit contains four self-locking bolts that are not needed for the Teves brake caliper.
