Climate Control

Engine oil, drawn into the A/C programmer via vacuum supply, could cause the programmer to malfunction.

The most common symptom of (programmer) oil contamination is the climate control system operating in the defrost mode ONLY (fail safe).

If oil contamination has caused the programmer to fail you will have to replace it.

The following procedure will prevent oil from entering the new programmer.

Oil contamination, checking

remove nut and disconnect vacuum hose/ connector assembly 4

^

inspect inside surfaces of connector for presence of oil (arrow)

If oil is present, ^ replace vacuum hose/connector assembly 4
