Throttle Full Close Switch: Adjustments

1.

Remove the throttle housing assembly from the intake manifold.

2.

Attach a protractor (tool 3084 or equivalent, Fig. 45) to the throttle shaft, and the pointer to the throttle housing.

3.

Set the protractor to zero in the idle rest position.

4.

Connect an ohmmeter to both terminals of the switch.

5.

Open the throttle about 20°, then slowly close it.

6.

The throttle switch should close (0 ohms) at 2° to 4°.

7.

Adjust switching position by loosening the mounting screws of the switch, and move the switch.
