remove accumulator hose at bottom of reservoir (arrow C)

remove return line at reservoir (arrow D)

^

remove reservoir from vehicle with bracket and hose A attached

^

remove hose A from reservoir

^

use a bottle/thermos brush and clean reservoir with a suitable cleaning solvent

^

clean or replace strainer as necessary

Note

If the strainer cannot be thoroughly cleaned or is damaged, replace it with the new version strainer, Part No. 443 422 385 A.

CAUTION

Part Numbers are for reference only. Always consult with your Parts Department for latest information.

remove and clean all banjo bolts fastening hoses/lines to pump and accumulator

^

install reservoir assembly in vehicle and connect all hoses/lines disconnected during removal

CAUTION

Use only hydraulic fluid, Part No. G 002 000

DO NOT reuse hydraulic fluid that has been drained.

DO NOT turn front wheels unless the hydraulic system is filled with fluid. Damage to the steering rack could result if the wheels are turned after the
hydraulic system has been emptied.
