Throttle Full Close Switch: Testing and Inspection

Voltage Supply For Idle And Full Throttle Switch, Checking

-

remove harness connector to idle and full throttle switch on throttle body (arrow)

Throttle Switch, Harness Connector

-

connect multimeter US 1119 between terminal 2 of disconnected throttle switch connector and engine ground

-

switch ignition ON

specification: approximately 12 volts 

If specification is NOT obtained

-

repair break in wiring according to wiring diagram 

Idle Switch, Checking
(Fault code 2121)

-

connect multimeter US 1119 between terminal 1 and terminal 2 (with throttle fully closed)
^

specification: 0 ohms

-

move throttle valve 0.5 to 0.7 mm (0.020 to 0.028 in)

NOTE:  This measurement is made with a feeler gauge between the throttle valve stop and the adjustment screw.
