Ambient Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Description and Operation

PURPOSE

Two sensors are used to measure outside ambient temperature. The Climate control head uses this information to make small adjustments to
interior temperature regulation, air distribution and blower speed.

The values received from these sensors are also used for the outside temperature display on the A/C control head.

OPERATION

The Outside temperature sensors switch the A/C compressor clutch OFF when temperature drops below a specified temperature. 

The Outside temperature sensors will switch the A/C compressor clutch OFF when outside ambient temperature falls below 30°F (-1°C). 

These sensors allow the compressor to be turned ON at temperatures of 45°F (+7°C).
