Ignition Rotor: Specifications

RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

IGNITION COIL:

Primary Resistance - (measured between coil terminals 1 & 15)

RESISTANCE:0.5 - 1.5 ohms

 
Secondary Resistance - (measured between coil terminals 1 & 4)

RESISTANCE:5K - 9K ohms

IGNITION WIRES AND CONNECTORS:

COIL WIRE

Resistance ..............................................................................................................................................................................  2000 +/- 800 ohms

SPARK PLUG WIRES

Resistance ............................................................................................................................................................................  6000 +/- 1400 ohms

If resistance is not within specification, check individual components.

SPARK PLUG CONNECTORS

Resistance ............................................................................................................................................................................  5000 +/- 1000 ohms

IGNITION WIRES (without connectors)

Resistance ..............................................................................................................................................................................  1000 +/- 400 ohms

 
DISTRIBUTOR ROTOR:

Measured between tip of electrode and center contact.

RESISTANCE:Approx. 1K ohms
