Creaking/Rattling Noise Under Shift Lever During Acceleration and Braking

Cause:

Loose connection between filler plate "A" and body (caused by temperature radiation from catalytic converter).

Production:

Spacers installed between filler plate and body.

As of:

January 1, 1990

VIN 8A_LA159073

Service:

- Loosen fastening nuts on filler plate "A"

-

Install spacers P/N 111 129 720 (4x) between filler plate P/N 893 803 157 and body

-

Retorque nuts to 22 N-m.
