Lock Carrier: Service and Repair
Lock carrier, removing and installing
WARNING!
Do not re-use fasteners that are worn or deformed in normal use. Some fasteners are designed to be used only once, and are unreliable
and may fail if used a second time. This includes, but is not limited to, nuts, bolts, washers, circlips and cotter pins. Replace these
fasteners with new parts where indicated, and any other time it is deemed necessary by inspection.
Lock carrier consists of four sections:
‹› Lock carrier support
‹› Lock carrier plate, right
‹› Lock carrier plate, left
‹› Crossmember
1 - Self-tapping screw (4x)
7 Nm (62 in lb)
2 - Crossmember
‹› Removing and installing ~ see below
3 - Hex-bolt (6x)
23 Nm (17 ft lb)
4 - Lock carrier support
‹› Removing and installing ~ see below
5 - Self-tapping screw
7 Nm (62 in lb)
6 - Lock carrier plate, right

7 Nm (62 in lb)
8 - Lock carrier plate, left
