Fig. 8  Removing Passenger's Air Bag Connector Bracket

1. Disarm air bag system as described under Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems), Service and Repair.
2. Remove glove compartment.
3. Remove Passenger's air bag mounting bolts, Fig. 7.
4. Using a suitable flat blade screwdriver, pry bracket from air bag unit, Fig. 8.
5. Disconnect air bag unit electrical connector, then remove air bag unit. Store air bag unit in a secure place with impact cushion facing upward.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten right air bag mounting bolt, then left mounting bolt. Tighten air bag unit attaching bolts to specifications.
