Fig. 10  Ball Stop Lug Adjustment

1. Place shift lever in neutral.
2. Remove shift knob and boot, Fig.11.
3. Loosen clamp bolt, then position shift lever as close to vertical as possible.
4. Align lever so that both lugs on ball stop are at an equal distance "A" from ball housing, Fig.10.
5. Tighten bolt, then ensure lever does not move.
6. Inspect function of shifter by shifting through all gears.
7. Lever must be in the 3rd/4th shift plane in neutral.
8. Ensure Reverse safety catch is effective. If not, loosen screws retaining ball housing, turn ball housing slightly, then retighten screws.
9. Reinstall shift boot and retaining screw.
