Clunking Noise From Front of Vehicle When Turning or Driving Over Bumps

Condition

A clunking noise is audible from the front of the vehicle when turning the steering wheel and changing direction, (e.g.: drive to reverse). The noise can
also be heard at times when driving over bumps.

Note: 

May be misdiagnosed as a bad strut insert (shock)

Inspect the left motor mount heat shield (arrow) for interference to the left motor mount bracket. Generally, scuff marks will be visible on the mount
bracket or the heat shield where the interference is occurring.

With a die grinder, increase the clearance by removing a slight amount of material.
