Customer complaint of oil consumption.

Service

In cases of customer complaints of oil consumption, performing the following checking procedure.

Oil level, checking

Checking requirements

No engine oil leaks from any point for any reason, correct first before checking level

Oil temperature must be 80°C (176°F) minimum, (radiator cooling fan must come on at least once)

Park the vehicle on a level surface and let sit for 5 minutes (minimum).

Check the oil level.

Engine Oil Dip Stick

-

Top up oil (if necessary) to the Max. mark but do not exceed.

Oil quantity between Min. and Max. mark on the dipstick: 0.7 liters (0.78 quarts)

Have customer drive vehicle for 600 miles, then return to Dealer and have oil level checked again.
