Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Oil pump, removing

Camshaft drive belt removed, refer to Timing Components - Timing Belt - Service and Repair - Procedures  See: Timing Components/Toothed

Vibration damper removed

Disconnect battery

Caution!

Before disconnecting the battery, determine the correct coding for the anti-theft radio.

Drain engine oil

-

Remove engine undertray

-

Remove oil dipstick

-

Unbolt dipstick tube and pull up and out of crankcase

-

Remove crankshaft center bolt

-

Remove toothed belt sprocket

-

Remove tensioner and, where applicable, idler roller

-

Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness connector

-

Remove coolant line to oil cooler (from oil pan)

-

Disconnect engine support from oil pan
