This bulletin supersedes all other information regarding this procedure for Audi 100 with V6-engine.

Removing
-
remove ribbed V-belt. see Repair Manual, Group 13
-
remove ribbed V-belt tensioner.
-
unclip ribbed V-belt guard on both sides.
-
turn crankshaft to TDC position by hand.
^
notch -A- must align with notch -B-.
-
check camshaft position.
^
large holes of locating plates on camshaft sprockets must point toward each other.
If NO
-
rotate crankshaft one revolution.
-
remove crankshaft position (CKP) sensor from left side of crankcase behind oil cooler (above oil pan).
^
TDC hole in crankshaft must be seen or felt behind hole for CKP.
