Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
Rear

Rear wheel bearing housing, servicing

1 - Wheel bearing housing

Bearing seat should not be greased before pressing in bearing
After installing, check wheel alignment
Shipped as replacement part with hole for mounting sleeve and ABS wheel speed sensor

2 - Mounting sleeve

Coat with brake cylinder paste before installing
Press as far as possible into wheel bearing housing

3 - ABS wheel speed sensor

Pull out to remove
Press in by hand up as far as possible

4 - Bonded rubber bushing

Replacing - Fig. 7 to Fig. 9
Always replace both halves

5 - Wheel bearing

Stepped inside diameter
Destroyed when pressing out
Pressing out - Fig. 2
Pressing in - Fig. 4
Installation position. larger inner diameter faces hub

6 - Brake splash guard

Bolts to wheel bearing housing

7 - Wheel hub
