Removing and installing door lock
Removing and installing door lock
  Caution
Risk of malfunctions.
To prevent the operating cable from being kinked or bent too much when it is disengaged/engaged, the door lock must be removed and installed together with the mounting bracket.
The operating cable must be engaged in/disengaged from the mounting bracket outside the door.
Removing
–  Remove lock cylinder → Chapter.
–  Remove door trim → Rep. gr.70.
–  Remove cover for inner door panel → Chapter.
–  Remove lock cylinder guide → Chapter.
–  Remove mounting bracket → Chapter.
   
–  Remove bolts -arrows-.

–  Unplug electrical connector -2- and take out door lock -1- together with mounting bracket.
–  Turn operating cable on lever -1- 90° in direction of -arrow A- and take it out of cable support bracket -2-.
–  Turn operating cable on operating lever -3- for door lock in direction of -arrow B-.
l  The operating cable must be aligned with the opening on the operating lever.
–  Disengage operating cable from operating lever at door lock.

Installing
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Engage operating cable -3- in operating lever -2- for door lock.
–  Insert operating cable into support bracket -1- and turn lever -4- 90°.
l  Lug -arrow- on clip must engage audibly in cable support bracket.
–  Install lock cylinder guide → Chapter.
–  Install cover for inner door panel → Chapter.
–  Install door trim → Rep. gr.70.
–  Install lock cylinder → Chapter.
