Removing and installing lower trim for steering column switch module > < Removing and installing trim cover for dash panel insert

Removing
–  Move the steering wheel down and to the rear as far as possible, making use of the full range of the steering column adjuster.
–  Detach -arrow A- the trim cover -2- from the dash panel and the dash panel insert.
–  Give the steering wheel a 90° anti-clockwise turn to the side from the straight ahead position.
–  Use a small flat screwdriver to carefully prise -arrow B on left- the upper trim -1- off the lower trim for the steering column switch module.
–  Turn the steering wheel back through 180° and repeat the procedure on the opposite side -arrow B on right-.
–  Disengage the upper trim at the lower trim for the steering column switch module and detach.

For greater clarity the steering wheel is not shown.

Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Start by engaging the upper trim in the lower trim -arrow 1-.
–  Make sure the lug of the lower trim engages in the recess at the retainer tab of the upper trim -arrow 2-.

For greater clarity the steering column is not shown.
Notes on installation: For example tightening torques, component replacement → Chapter.
