Removing and installing bass loudspeaker trim with frame
Removing and installing bass loudspeaker trim with frame
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Flat chisel
Removing
–  Remove the door trim → Chapter.
   
–  Remove the light 1 for front left door background lighting -L199--Item 1- and the light 2 for front left door background lighting -L203--Item 3- → Electrical system; Rep. gr.96.
–  Use a flat chisel to unfasten -arrows- the loudspeaker trim from the door trim.
  Caution
Take care not to damage the door trim on separation.
–  Carefully release at each attachment point and detach the loudspeaker trim -2-.

Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Shorten the new loudspeaker trim -1- to the dimension -a- at the plastic domes marked with -arrows-.
l  Dimension -a- = 6 mm

–  Insert the loudspeaker trim in the door trim.
–  Press the clamping washers -2- from the installation kit onto the plastic domes -3- marked with -arrows- at the loudspeaker trim.
–  Press the spring clips -1- onto the plastic lugs -A- at the loudspeaker trim.
Notes on installation: For example tightening torques, component replacement → Chapter.
