Removing and installing vacuum pump for brakesV192
Removing and installing vacuum pump for brakes -V192-
No provision is made for repairs to vacuum pump for brakes -V192-. If a fault occurs, the vacuum pump for brakes -V192- must be renewed.
  Note
The vacuum pump -V192- is fitted at the front of the engine compartment (right-side).
Removing
–  Use suitable pliers to release hose clip on vacuum hose.
–  Detach vacuum hose from vacuum pump for brakes -V192-.
  Caution
Take care not to damage the vacuum hose. The vacuum hose must be renewed if it is damaged.
–  Unplug electrical connector.
  Note
Unbolt the bracket to facilitate removal of the vacuum pump from the bracket.
–  Unscrew nuts for bracket.
–  Take bracket with vacuum pump out of vehicle.
–  Unfasten both clips on vacuum pump and detach.
–  Pull vacuum pump for brakes -V192- upwards out of bracket.
Installing
–  Insert vacuum pump in bracket.
  Note
Make sure the vacuum pump is properly positioned in the bracket. The vacuum connection faces in the direction of travel.
–  Use the two clips to secure the vacuum pump in the bracket.
–  Insert the bracket with the vacuum pump in the two pins in the vehicle.
–  Secure bracket with two new self-locking nuts (9 Nm).
–  Fit new hose clip on vacuum hose.
  Caution
Take care not to damage the vacuum hose. The vacuum hose must be renewed if it is damaged.
–  Use suitable pliers to fasten hose clip.
–  Plug in electrical connector.
