Removing/installing and checking fresh air blower series resistor with overheating fuseN24 - heater, manually controlled air conditioner
Removing/installing and checking fresh air blower series resistor with overheating fuse -N24- - heater, manually controlled air conditioner
  Note
t  The resistance value between contacts 2 and 4 of -N24- is approx. 1.8 ohms (between contacts 3 and 4 approx. 0.7 ohm and between contacts 1 and 4 approx. 0.1 ohm).
t  Upstream of contact 4, -N24- is fitted with a temperature-sensitive fuse which is tripped in the event of a fault at the fresh air blower -V2-.
  WARNING
Risk of burns.
t  The fresh air blower series resistor with overheating fuse -N24- may be hot.
t  Allow the series resistor to cool down prior to removal.
   
Removing
–  Remove the glove compartment → Rep. gr.68.
–  If applicable, remove the headlight range control unit → Electrical system; Rep. gr.94.
–  Sever the cable tie at the fresh air blower.
–  Turn the series resistor -4- in -arrow direction- and lift out.
–  Take out the series resistor between the air duct -1- and the central tube -2-.
–  Unplug the connector -3-.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Fit the headlight range control unit → Electrical system; Rep. gr.94.
–  Fit the glove compartment → Rep. gr.68.
