Removing and installing air distribution housing
Removing and installing air distribution housing
   
Removing
–  Remove the heater/air conditioning unit: Heater → Chapter, air conditioner → Chapter.
–  Mark the connectors before unplugging.
–  If fitted, unplug the connectors -1, 2, 4, 5- and lay bare the wiring harness -3-.
  Caution
Risk of irreparable damage to the air distribution housing.
t  If the cable tie holder is detached from the mounting pin at the air distribution housing, the pin may break off.
t  If the mounting pin is broken off, the air distribution housing must be replaced.
–  Screw out the bolts -arrows-.

–  Sever the cable tie -1-.
–  If fitted, unplug the connector -3- and lay bare the wiring harness.
–  Screw out the bolts -2, 4-.
  A87-10931
–  Screw out the bolts -4, 5-.
–  Swivel the air distribution housing -3- slightly in -arrow direction A-, then guide the retaining pin -1- out of the guide -2--arrow B- and disengage.
–  Detach the air distribution housing.
Installing
l  Tightening torque → Chapter.
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Fit the heater/air conditioning unit: Heater → Chapter, air conditioner → Chapter.
